A brief introduction to Eden's Little Ones reborns:

Because of the cost of materials and the many hours put into each baby, Reborn dolls are heirloom collector items. They can be cuddled with, carried, dressed (sparingly), and more, but they should be treated with care. Each reborn at Eden's Little Ones is a one-of-a-kind (OOAK) baby to be loved and cherished.

I use genuine angora mohair or suri alpaca fiber with all my babies and each hair is hand-rooted in the head. This ensures the hair will be as realistic as possible. The hair is also sealed inside the head, so you can gently wash it with a damp cloth and style it.

Each baby is painted with non-toxic Genesis Heat set paints, which will never fade or rub off, so you can cuddle with your baby as much as you like. I use many layers of paint to create skin that is healthy and alive. Veins, little feet, fingernails, every little crease - I paint, detail and seal every part of each Little One.

Very tiny fine glass beads, occasionally small steel beads, hypoallergenic and flame retardant polyester fluff, and poly pellets gives the Little One a cuddly torso and the whole body a weight and feel of a real baby. The head is weighted and needs supported, just like any baby.

Some of the babies have a magnet inside their mouth, for their magnetic pacifiers, that can be removed upon request at the time of adoption. These magnets are very strong and care must be taken around electronics. They should not be around pacemakers. I have recently began using a different method with some of my babies, where they have a washer instead of a magnet, and only the pacifier must be kept away from electronics.

These are just some of the details of the materials and work that go into my reborns. With every baby, I strive to make him or her as much like a live baby as possible. Each baby is different from others and every baby is precious.
